First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. This initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take x-rays, which might include the following: the panoramic x-ray, full mouth series for proper diagnosis of the entire mouth, or bite-wing x-rays for diagnosis of decay in between the teeth.

Occasionally, treatment can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on a separate day.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
X-rays (if applicable)
A list of your current medications

If you have x-rays from a previous dentist or physician, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.

Your first visit to Spadola & Vincent, DMD involves a few special steps so that we can get to know you. To understand what to expect, please read through this page. There's also background information about our committed staff and our first visit procedures.

Insurance

We accept most traditional insurance plans.  Contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. We will be happy to file your insurance claims for you, even if we don't participate with your insurance plan.

We are happy to file a claim for reimbursement with your insurance as long as your plan allows you to choose your own dentist. Many plans have "out-of-network" benefits which allow you to chose your own dentist if you accept a slightly reduced benefit.

If you have dental insurance, be sure to bring your insurance card, complete with group number, name of employer, and member ID and date of birth (if the member is someone other than yourself. ) This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

*IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 at the consultation visit.

******When copays are due, we accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details.******
